WhiteCraft WickerLoom™ Features and Benefits

Wicker:

To create the WickerLoom™ material, high quality celulose "ribbons" are spun into strands and woven on modern Italian wide looms using technology originally developed by Marshall Lloyd in 1917.
Strands in weft of woven fabric are reinforced with solid wire for added strength and resilience.
WickerLoom™ strands are spun tighter for a more elegant look, smoother feel, better finish and longer life.
WickerLoom™ has a natural "give" for total body comfort.

Frames:

Construction of sturdy, maintenance-free, non-corrosive aluminum.
Unique welded construction. Seat frames and side frames are welded together. All visible welds are ground and polished.
Limiting mechanical fasteners, (screws, etc), WickerLoom™ utilizes a double wall of aluminum where screws are used to ensure a secure connection.
All edges are expertly tailored, either hand-woven or covered with braid for excellence in craftsmanship.
Extra handwrapping on frames for elegance.

Finish:

After the weaving process, the wicker is dipped in a resin emulsion to form a flexible coating to ensure moisture resistance.
Hand finished with a three step baked-on high solid polyester paint for maximum protection against the weather.
Sealed with a baked-on polyester primer.
Buffed after the first finish for a smooth elegant feel.

Seating:

Crystalflex™ decking is used in most seat foundations for luxurious seating comfort and long lasting service.
Filling for outdoor cushions is 100% engineered polyester fiber, water-resistant, and has excellent drainage and resiliency.
Flame-retardant cushion fill meets California Spec 117.
Most cushions are reversible.
Available in a large selection of outdoor fabrics.

Where to use:

Whitecraft WickerLoom™ is manufactured to be used inside the home and in any protected outdoor area such as a covered porch, loggia or lanai.

Maintenance:

Wicker - Vacuum with a brush attachment to remove organic debris and dust. Clean product using a soft sponge, mild soap and water.
Cushions - Vacuum regularly to remove unseen organic debris that allows mildew to grow. Acrylic cushions can be cleaned using a soft bristle brush with cold water and a mild chlorine bleach solution. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. If desired, apply a new coat of Scotchgard™ or other premium fabric protector.
