For over 45 years, Sunbrella® has been the leader in performance fabrics. Sunbrella fabric's legendary reputation has made it the fabric of choice for manufacturers of boat covers, outdoor awnings, umbrellas, and of course, patio furniture. With impeccable quality, sophisticated styling and best-in-class warranties, Sunbrella offers more possibilities than ever.

Sunbrella fabrics are designed for outdoor use, resistant to the effects of sun, rain, and elements. They are breathable and water-repellant, and will not support the growth of mildew as natural fibers will. Beautiful and durable, Sunbrella is a name you can trust in your outdoor furniture.

Sunbrella superior pigments are added during the production of fade-resistant Sunbrella fiber. The final result is Sunbrella yarn and fabric with color throughout that won’t fade or wash away. Think "carrot."

Maintaining Sunbrella

One of the best ways to keep Sunbrella brand fabrics looking good and to delay deep or vigorous cleanings is to properly maintain the fabrics. This can be accomplished by simply brushing off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics, wiping up spills as soon as they occur or spot cleaning soon after stains occur. For light cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution and a sponge, allowing your cleaning solution to soak into the fabric. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue and allow fabric to air dry.

Sunbrella air-dries very quickly. Machine drying is not necessary. Do not put any Sunbrella fabric in a machine dryer, or apply other heat.

Sunbrella fabrics hold the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation. To earn the Seal, a manufacturer must prove that its product sufficiently and safely "aids in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin." Sunbrella fabrics have been tested to provide up to 98% UV protection, depending on depth of color. Read more
